Peter Cook – Architectural Manoevres

Professor Sir Peter Cook, co-founder of Archigram, a renowned architect and educator, has been greatly contributing to the world of architecture for over half a century. He is the former Director of the Institute for Contemporary Art, London, and the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London. In recognition for his work through his visionary ideas, he was knighted by the Queen in 2007.

During the 1960s, Cook co-founded Archigram, a group of young architects who challenged traditional architectural conventions and explored radical concepts of futuristic and mobile architecture, envisioning dynamic and adaptable structures that could respond to the changing needs of individuals and society. Some of his notable works from this period include the Plug-In City, a vision of a modular and expandable city, and the Instant City, a mobile and temporary urban environment. Cook’s visionary ideas and experimental designs continue to inspire architects and shape the discourse around the future of the built environment.

We eagerly anticipate his lecture „Architectural Manoevres“ where we will have the extraordinary opportunity to explore his captivating Model Universe on Friday, June 23rd.
